Bachelor of Science Nursing School Students

The West Virginia University School of Nursing is set to host a virtual open house on March 21, 2023, for its BS/BA to Bachelor of Science in Nursing program (Accelerated BSN). This fast-track nursing program is available on the West Virginia University Bridgeport and Morgantown campuses.
An Accelerated BSN nursing degree is typically designed for students who have completed a bachelor degree in another field and want to become a Registered Nurse (RN). Accelerated BSN or Fast-Track BSN nursing programs help students to complete their academic requirements faster than in a traditional RN bachelor degree program.
Recruitment Specialist Phillip Engelkemier encourages anyone in college who has almost completed a BS or BA degree to take part in the event. The event is geared towards those students and graduates who are considering a career in nursing.

During the open house, participants will have the opportunity to interact with a panel of guests, including Dean Tara Hulsey, School of Nursing faculty and staff, and current nursing students. These guests can provide insights into this fast-track nursing program, and, address any student concerns or questions.
The open house will also provide information about the application process, the West Virginia University School of Nursing, and its campuses. Additionally, attendees will learn about what to expect during clinicals and what they should consider if they are nearing graduation.
