Florida Center for Nursing (FCN) recently published its biannual Workforce Supply Characteristics and Trends: Registered Nurses (RN) report. The report features charts, graphs, and analysis of Florida's RN nurse supply, including the number of nurses, demographics, education, employment status, and specialization.
Key Findings In The RN Workforce Report
- Florida's potential RN workforce grew about 7.4%.
- More than 32,000 newly licensed RN were added.
- Top employment settings were hospitals (63%), home health (7%), and extended care (5%).
- Top occupation titles were Staff Nurse (66%) and Nurse Manager (9%).
- Almost 44% of employed RN have at least a Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN).
