While the nationwide nursing shortage has not had such a deep impact on Montana, the state is still seeking out ways to prevent a severe problem. Significant scholarships are in place for nurses who agree to work for a certain period of time in particular areas, while some colleges are extending distance learning programs to hit the most rural areas of the state.

Montana is also implementing more nursing faculty in its schools to be sure all prospective nurses have access to a solid education. This is all great news for the aspiring nurse!
