Indiana has several well-respected institutions of higher learning, including Purdue University, Indiana University, the University of Notre Dame, and Ball State University. Many schools offer nursing and continuing education programs. Indiana's population is expected to grow 9.7% between 2000 and 2010, and currently 35.9% of the population is over age 45. These factors combined mean that Indiana is going to need more nurses in the years to come.
Indiana is a good place to go to school and to pursue a nursing career, but it doesn't have to be serious all the time. For a little fun, cheer on the Pacers or the Colts, watch the RCA Championship tennis matches, or go to Indianapolis Motor Speedway to see the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400. There are also lots of parks for outdoor recreation.
