Idaho conjures up images of grand mountains, hardy pioneers, and of course the ubiquitous Idaho potato. But Idaho's economy is also shifting, towards an emphasis on service industries, including healthcare. The number of registered nurses in the state is expected to increase from 7,350 in 2000, to 10,080 in 2012 - a 37% increase. A slowly but steadily growing population, coupled with the general graying of the populace (roughly one-third of Idahoans are over age 45), contributes to this demand for nurses.

For weekend trips, check out Idaho's 16 alpine ski trails, 26,000 miles of fishing streams, or 25 state parks and 15 national forests! Idaho also has a low cost of living and good schools, making it a great place to settle down.
