Orange County, California is located in Southern California. Santa Ana is its county seat. With a population of 3,056,865 (2005 estimate), it is the second most populous county in the state of California and the fifth most populous in the United States. The county is known for its wealth and political conservatism, although it is in reality neither as uniformly wealthy nor as politically conservative as its sterotypical image suggests. It is also famous as a tourist destination, as the county is home to Disneyland and miles of sandy beaches. These factors, uniformity aside, are indicative of a highly prosperous medical system. With Orange County being the size that it is, patients will always be many and encouraging new growth in the medical establishment. The area also offers excellent nursing schools and programs.
